About the role
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Responsibilities
- Adhering to federal, agency, and local contract methods, procedures, and regulations applicable to the acquisition and contract administration of generalized and specialized professional services.
- Developing contract statements of objectives, requests for proposals, contract modifications, etc. for single and multi-year contracts.
- Planning appropriate strategies for procurement of complex requirements and conducting negotiations in various types of contracts.
- Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to brief, negotiate, plan, organize and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must meet the basic education requirement of a bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Pay
The pay for this position is commensurate with experience and meets the requirements of the General Schedule (GS) pay scale.
