Procurement Analyst

Position Objective

The Position Objective Procurement Analyst is a hybrid role bridging the roles of Buyer and Contract Administrator. Key responsibilities include optimizing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, enhancing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiency and quality in purchasing decisions.

Essential Job Duties

• Assist Contract Administrators, Capital Analyst, and Value Analysis Manager in developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimize costs.

• Load contracts and contract pricing into departmental tools and systems.

• Coordinate large Request for Proposal (RFP) initiatives.

• Review and process purchase orders and requisitions as needed.

• Create and manage Contract and Capital purchase orders.

• Avoid material shortages or delays by coordinating with logistics and resolving supply issues.

• Clear match exceptions to meet departmental goals using the Supply Disruption Manager Tool.

• Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and primary distributor performance.

• Maintain and improve supplier relationships through bid list development, MBE program enrollment and validation, ensuring supplier onboarding is complete, and timely payments.

• Support the development of procurement policies and procedures.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

• Computer skills in word processing, Excel spreadsheets, database management, and web-based analytics.

• Excellent analytical, written, interpersonal, independent thinking, and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented.

Pay Range

$74,880—$91,520 USD
