Important
- You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift;
- as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.
How You’ll Make An Impact
As a Processing Technician MS, you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you’ll be responsible for performing all aspects of processing, preservation and storage of tissues in an FDA regulated environment. Works in a team environment under aseptic conditions while performing controlled production processes. Performs quality assessments of tissue products and documentation.
Tissue Processing
- Reviews work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production.
- Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed.
- Performs all aspects of processing tissue (debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing) according to current procedures and protocols.
- Affords assistance to supervisory team in production enhancement and improvement initiatives.
Packaging
- Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation, etc.) according to current procedures and protocols.
Documentation & Data Entry
- Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols.
Decontamination
- Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.
Minimum Requirements
- High School or GED required;
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply;
- Two years of work experience is required;
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications
- Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred;
- One (1) year Tissue Processing, Tissue Recovery, Manufacturing, Operations, or as a Surgical Technician;
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a non-clerical, fast-paced, hands-on setting.

- Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure accuracy and completeness;
- Able to convey information verbally and in writing;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Computer Software, Databases;
- Able to learn new skills, grafts, and adapt to developing product lines;
- Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload;
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Technical skills (preferred), General knowledge of anatomy, able to use surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Compensation
Salary Range: $20.00 / hourly
