About the role

The Processing Technician will be responsible for various processes associated with cannabis product development. The Technician provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to process and package clean, high-quality, safe medicine for our patients. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the Company from the ground up and take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of daily care of medicine from harvest to packaging, including monitoring weights and measurements, presentation, and maintaining cleanliness and sterility inside the processing area.
• Assist in harvesting, processing, and storing both in-process and finished medicine.
• Prepare plant materials for extraction.
• Maintain accurate records of daily production and communicate those records to management.
• Record and track accurate weights and measurements of medicine throughout processing and packaging using company systems and protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment, including sanitation of rooms post-harvest.
• Inspect medicine for defects using magnification tools.
• Assist in cannabis extraction preparation.
• Prepare and trim flowers according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
• Maintain quality control measures to ensure a high-quality product.
• Work as part of a fast-paced team to meet group goals.
• Prepare inventory reports to ensure products are available and in demand.
• Review processing schedules and forecasts for key dates, quantities, and strains.
• Interact with Metric, inventory systems, and Excel reports to ensure material tracking complies with state law; log and report as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of various extraction and refinement methods preferred.
• Lab experience.
• Ability to follow directions with precision and accuracy.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (subject to change as business needs).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Manufacturing environment requiring extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs for distances up to 100 ft may be required.
• Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
• Ability to work in a humid and pollinated environment.
