About the role
The Process Verification Technician operates assigned equipment to produce parts in a high volume automotive organization, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned equipment, including setting up electronic components, understanding machine mechanics, and performing part changes.
- Measure parts using digital micrometers, bench gauges, dial indicators, and digital calipers to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and repeatability.
- Complete hands-on and automated inspections of parts according to routing packets.
- Set up and run valve seat and valve guide process verification work-centers to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Perform changeovers to established goals on conveyor systems, feeding systems, and inspection machines.
- Identify and report non-conforming parts to affected work-centers.
- Pack and label finished product.
- Maintain and replace red rabbit parts.
- Afford support to other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing experience in a machining environment.
- Basic computer skills, including ERP systems.
- Solid mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to understand and use metric measurements.
- Understanding of basic math equations.
- Ability to meet quality, production, and work center goals.
- Full shift work, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Physical demands: Stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs occasionally, use PPE.
- Work environment: Plant-based.
