Process Technician - Casting

Job Responsibilities

• Process compliance: casting, die lube, plunger lube ratios, cycle times
• Support Die Sets as needed.
• Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
• Operate or tend metal casting.
• Promotes good housekeeping (5S)
• Perform other duties as required.

Physical Demands

• Must wear Personal Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats, & Jewelry removed during production/ manufacturing.
• Work around extreme high temperatures (above 900 ° F/ 270C) daily, for short periods of time.

Equipment/Tools Used

• Computer
• Copier / printer
• Tools required in Die Casting

Knowledge & Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in process related field

Other

• Strong Computer and Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Lean Manufacturing background & Six Sigma preferred
• Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Problem Solving & DOE
