Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production processes, workflow, and material movement to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are consistently achieved.
- Accurately track and report production metrics while communicating production status and updates as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities, including equipment testing and trial runs, to support optimal production performance.
- Complete tool changes and repairs as needed, ensuring full compliance with all HECP and LOTO procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel and vendors to secure necessary supplies and manage work order requirements.
- Maintain an organized tooling inventory, ensuring all equipment is stored in clearly labeled and designated locations.
- Achieve production targets established by the Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, and plant leadership team.
- Provide direction to Inspector/Packers to maximize labor efficiency, support productivity, and help control operating costs.
Qualifications
- Sufficient mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously as needed.
- Reliable, self-motivated, committed, and quality focused.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
- Ability to perform repetitious duties, including standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and performing basic maintenance on production equipment.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, inspections, testing procedures, and production reporting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple production areas.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S methodology, continuous improvement practices, and workplace organization initiatives.
