Process Technician

Job Overview: The process technician supports the Process Engineer in all his activities of cost savings initiatives related to molding cycle time, scrap, machine utilization and resins. NDS is a market leader for solutions in Storm Water Management, Efficient Landscape Irrigation, and Flow Management for residential and commercial markets.

Responsibilities

• Reduce molding cycle time and reject rate
• Develop most cost-effective resin blends
• Develop process conditions to use the most cost-effective resin blends
• Develop molding processes of all new products and/or molds
• Collaborate with others to obtain best machine uptime
• Trouble shoot process problems
• Operate injection molding machines
• Ensure and enforce compliance with all legal regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Minimum high school education
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastics processing environment
• Certification in Industrial Technology is preferred
• Ability to set up new injection molding tooling
• Ability to set up injection molding parameters
• Ability to trouble shoot and resolve injection molding issues
• Process analysis and improvement skills
• Good teamwork skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
