About the role

Join MLC as a Process Technician and play a key role in safely operating plant processes, loading customer shipments, unloading raw materials, and maintaining efficient production operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate computer-controlled production processes to safely manufacture and handle products.
  • Load finished products for customer shipment and unload incoming raw materials.
  • Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, material handlers, and other mobile equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, troubleshooting, and basic equipment repairs.
  • Support maintenance projects and assist with equipment troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Monitor plant processes and dust control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Identify process issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance reliability and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively across operations and maintenance teams while supporting plant performance and safety goals.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, processing, or plant environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work comfortably at heights.
  • Ability to work around water and in an outdoor industrial environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Experience operating forklifts, front-end loaders, material handlers, or similar heavy equipment.
  • Experience with industrial process operations, bulk material handling, or manufacturing systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Experience working with computerized or automated process control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
