About the role
The role is based on Cedar Rapids, IA (On-site role).
Responsibilities
- Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently to support enzyme manufacturing operations.
- Perform logistics activities, including warehousing, bulk material unloading, inventory movement, and product packaging.
- Monitor equipment performance and process parameters to ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency are achieved.
- Utilize the Delta V process control system to monitor, control, and adjust production operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Complete routine inspections, equipment checks, and accurate production documentation to maintain compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, safety, and productivity.
- Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and operational procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or mechanical plant environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret procedures, maintain production records, and follow detailed instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Skills
- Experience working with automated process control systems such as Delta V or similar technologies.
- Background in industrial manufacturing, biotechnology, fermentation, food processing, or chemical production environments.
- Proven track record of identifying process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
