Process Technician 4 (2nd shift)

This position supports the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Process Tech 4 on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks related to Manufacturing assembly and production processes, requiring technical expertise in process execution, troubleshooting, optimization, and compliance within a high-reliability AS9100 environment.
• Performs function tests of production units, including running MPT's and ATP's on assembled units.
• Troubleshoots using a wide range of tools to diagnose and verify issues within component-level operations.
• Works alongside engineering to develop and prove out tests for new designs.
• Follows and understands test data and feedback.
• Follows detailed written and verbal instructions, process routings, wiring diagrams, and production planning documents.
• Operates test stands, test equipment, and hand tools for testing.
• Conducts in-process self-checks and prepares assemblies for formal inspection.
• May assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, and other intermediate assembly tasks.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, and repair is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficient in DC/AC and RF.
• Knowledge of electronic component identification and handling.
• Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001) is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and data collection for Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good eyesight and color vision.
• May require sitting, standing, kneeling, or squatting for extended periods.
• May be exposed to solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds.
• May require the use of visual aids (magnification lenses, microscopes) and personal safety equipment.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required; must be able to achieve and maintain appropriate solder certifications and a DoD secret clearance.
