About the role
Join us as a PSM Specialist and become a go-to expert for overseeing the Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) at our location. In this role, you will ensure operations not only meet but exceed federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to continuously improve PSM processes and ensure the program at the location remains compliant with regulations and company standards.
- Support the ISO 45001 certification process in relation to PSM.
- Report on PSM and RMP matters to location management and ensure effective implementation and maintenance of all PSM and RMP requirements.
- Support the tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for PSM and ensure that any issues identified during PSM activities are addressed and resolved promptly.
- Help with training of production employees and management staff as required by OSHA, and emergency response regulatory programs, and company standards.
- Ensure training is completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, Industrial Health & Safety, or a related field, and 2+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project.
- Experienced at handling multiple assignments simultaneously, setting goals, and completing commitments on schedule.
- Accustomed to working long hours, weekends, and remaining in an on-call status when required.
- Occasional travel involved to collaborate with others.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, Process Safety Management requirements for ammonia refrigeration.
- Experienced at handling multiple assignments simultaneously, setting goals, and completing commitments on schedule.
- Accustomed to working long hours, weekends, and remaining in an on-call status when required.
- Occasional travel involved to collaborate with others.
