Meat Process Operators are integral to our production line, ensuring machinery runs smoothly and product quality is maintained.
Responsibilities
- Operate PLC systems to control machinery.
- Monitor pumps and grinders for quality assurance.
- Conduct grease line maintenance as required.
- Perform cleanup tasks including shoveling floors, hosing down machinery, and using wheelbarrows and powered industrial trucks (PIT).
- Operate the cooking process within specified parameters.
- Document plant operations according to our Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) program.
- Notify the shift manager of any operational issues or maintenance needs.
- Attend all mandatory safety meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Dependable and reliable, with flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Demands
- Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and occasionally work 12-hour shifts.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to work 40-60 hours per week.
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures ranging from 100°F to 45°F.
- Occasional outside work in all weather conditions and seasons.
- Ability to handle odors associated with animal by-products.
Schedule
Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
