Process Operator

About the role

Ingredion is hiring a Process Operator in Winston Salem, NC. Successful candidates will be trained to operate our state-of-the-art plant-based protein facility. This position requires highly adaptable people who take pride in doing an excellent job. Candidates are required to be computer literate, able to develop & apply mechanical/problem solving skills, read and write in English, and work in a team environment with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanized equipment safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of equipment
• Handle chemicals safely and according to protocols
• Load/unload trucks, railcars, and containers
• Pack, inspect, and handle various packaging formats
• Transfer product between tanks as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Computer literacy; SAP experience is a plus
• Mechanical/problem-solving skills (preferred)
• Knowledge of GMP and food safety (a plus)
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification (required)

Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Schedule

Rotating shifts and willingness to work overtime as needed.
