Process Innovation - Design Intern

About the role

A small intern team will spend 10 weeks experimenting with modern AI tooling to improve report authoring processes.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing report authors to understand their workflows.
• Mapping the current authoring process and identifying areas of friction.
• Defining what "good" looks like for an AI-generated first draft.
• Sketching how a human reviewer would interact with AI-drafted content.
• Collaborating with engineering interns to ensure their work meets author needs.
• Shaping the end-of-summer recommendation from the user’s perspective.

Requirements

• High school seniors through rising college juniors with an interest in design, user research, or understanding how people use tools.
• Curiosity about people and comfort asking questions.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English essential due to industry requirements and frequent communication with colleagues across Canada and the US.
