About the role

The Process Improvement Manager (PIM) is responsible for establishing an operating environment that embraces continuous improvement processes. They lead facility efforts in quality through management of all quality systems, and facilitate the plant safety committee and initiatives. They work with supervisors and operating teams to improve manufacturing and quality systems, using manufacturing reliability tools to achieve operating objectives. Additionally, they support safety initiatives such as safety audits, incident investigations, and safety orientation for new hires. Must understand OHSA/EPA regulations and manage internal auditing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an operating environment that embraces continuous improvement processes.
  • Lead facility efforts in quality through management of all quality systems.
  • Facilitate the plant safety committee and initiatives.
  • Work with supervisors and operating teams to improve manufacturing and quality systems, using manufacturing reliability tools to achieve operating objectives.
  • Support safety initiatives such as safety audits, incident investigations, and safety orientation for new hires.
  • Understand and comply with OHSA/EPA regulations.
  • Manage internal auditing processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer specific quality testing, expectations, and requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, preferably in a corrugated or converting environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and managing high-performance work systems and teams.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with local and corporate policies.
  • Builds effective teams, drives results, manages complexity, optimizes work processes, and has business insight.

Qualifications

  • Must understand OHSA/EPA regulations.
  • Manages internal auditing processes.
  • Maintains knowledge of customer specific quality testing, expectations, and requirements.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in a corrugated or converting environment.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and managing high-performance work systems and teams.
  • Compliance with local and corporate policies.
  • Business insight, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Understanding of and compliance with OHSA/EPA regulations.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with local and corporate policies.
  • Ability to drive results, manage complexity, optimize work processes, and have customer focus.
