About the role
MORryde is a fast-paced, opportunity-driven company specializing in custom metal fabrication. We supply parts to various industries including recreational vehicles, agriculture, transit buses, medical, trucking, and industrial markets. As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will assess areas for improvement, devise plans, and execute them to enhance our manufacturing process quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Auditing and improving manufacturing processes
- Creating quality documents for QMS
- Overseeing inspection of new part releases
- Verifying quality processes and providing remedial training
- Conducting incident and nonconformance reviews
- Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive success
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- An analytical skillset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Basic use of measurement equipment
- Ability to interpret and read manufacturing prints
- Customer-focused attitude with a sense of urgency
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work within and lead a team
- Proactive approach to quality issues
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical and communication skills
- Active listening and effective communication abilities
- Experience working closely with Plant Managers, Engineering, Shop Floor Operations, and Quality Department
