Role Description
The Process Engineering Technician Associate II - Semiconductor Product Validation operates reactors to perform thin film processes and evaluates process systems. They also recommend troubleshooting procedures to engineering.
Prepare Wafers
- Cleaning and preparation of reactors
- Preparing cross-section samples for scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis
- Evaluating wafers and thin films, optimizing process recipes
Operate SEM
- Performing scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis and imaging
- Identifying patterns of interest in imaging
- Understanding image quality requirements and sample/beam interaction
- Determining optimized conditions
Record and Analyze Data
- Recording process conditions and experimental observations
- Summarizing results and analyzing data
Physical Requirements
- Extensive walking, standing for extended periods
- Working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height
- Lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish between colors
- Working with electricity
- Ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise
- Using hand and power tools
