Process Engineering Technician

Role Description

The Process Engineering Technician Associate II - Semiconductor Product Validation operates reactors to perform thin film processes and evaluates process systems. They also recommend troubleshooting procedures to engineering.

Prepare Wafers

• Cleaning and preparation of reactors
• Preparing cross-section samples for scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis
• Evaluating wafers and thin films, optimizing process recipes

Operate SEM

• Performing scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis and imaging
• Identifying patterns of interest in imaging
• Understanding image quality requirements and sample/beam interaction
• Determining optimized conditions

Record and Analyze Data

• Recording process conditions and experimental observations
• Summarizing results and analyzing data

Physical Requirements

• Extensive walking, standing for extended periods
• Working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height
• Lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish between colors
• Working with electricity
• Ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise
• Using hand and power tools

Technology Diploma & Experience

• Technical Diploma
• 4-6 years of experience
