Process Engineering Technician
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment issues
- Support approximately 12-20 manufacturing workstations
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues
- Aid operators with equipment and process-related challenges
- Perform preventative maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineers on fixture improvements and manufacturing enhancements
- Build or modify simple fixtures when needed
- Support process improvement initiatives and production scale-up activities
- Help maintain efficient manufacturing operations in a dynamic production environment
Requirements
- 3-5 years of engineering technician, manufacturing technician, or similar experience
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and production support
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting operators in a manufacturing environment
- Able to independently diagnose equipment issues
- Strong critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Catheter manufacturing experience
- Cleanroom manufacturing experience
- Contract manufacturing (CMO) experience
- Fixture design or fabrication experience
- CAD experience
- Machining experience
- Experience with glue dispensing systems, microscopes, or fiber optic manufacturing
Work Environment
This position supports a pilot catheter manufacturing operation in Carlsbad, California. The role is highly hands-on and involves working directly on the production floor with operators, engineers, and manufacturing equipment. The environment is dynamic and continuously evolving as production scales. Candidates should be comfortable with a primarily first-shift schedule while maintaining flexibility to support preventative maintenance activities outside standard production hours when needed.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
