About the role

The Process Engineering Technician will receive broad experience in mechanical manufacturing processes such as NC drilling, laser drilling, and routing, including new equipment qualification. Training will emphasize on-the-job experience while blending mentorship and theoretical training. Safety is a critical component of the manufacturing environment; the Technician will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will be expected to follow all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Support or initiate programs to improve quality in the drilling, laser, and routing processes.
  • Maintain externally and internally developed software programs that support manufacturing equipment.
  • Qualify new equipment, including hands-on testing and documentation.
  • Write and edit procedures.
  • Determine acceptability of product and whether to proceed or change the process.
  • Determine root cause of defects.
  • Complete routine checks of equipment, process, and product on a regular schedule and execute corrective actions.
  • Work with Suppliers/Vendors/Engineers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Operate production equipment to run special engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in engineering OR equivalent professional experience and a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with one of machining, numerical control, computer numerical control, laser cutting, or composite manufacturing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and software.
  • Good computer skills including a strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint (Google Docs equivalent acceptable, but Microsoft versions will be used on the job).
  • Python or a similar programming language is recommended; willingness to learn programming languages is required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, including short- and long-term assignments.
  • Able to stand throughout a shift, lift 40 pounds, work within confined spaces, safely work on ladders, and perform work in a crouched or overhead posture.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, is required.
  • PCB knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Technical communication skills are required.
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, including:
    • Identifying ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understanding that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
    • Recognizing Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
    • Following authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL).
    • Understanding the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US.
    • Managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $58,996 - $93,252.

Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shifts may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
