Process Engineering Tech-Quantum

About the role

The Process Engineering Technician will support product development by owning testing, part building, analysis, instruction writing, and report writing for new processes and materials. Processes may include wet processing, cleanroom, drilling, routing, lamination, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on tests for a variety of processes and materials, working with several Process Engineers and Operators.
• Assist with writing test reports and data analysis.
• Update process and part number work instructions, emphasizing photos and videos over written words.
• Support root cause analysis and daily nonconforming material resolutions.
• Infrequent travel to other AFS factories is required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technical degree or significant relevant experience.
• 0-5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and effective technical writing skills.

Working Environment

• Work hours will vary and/or be extended as the product moves through the factory.
• Work is done indoors in a climatically controlled facility.
• Work on the plant floor may present exposure to possibly hazardous conditions; proper safety equipment is provided and its use is mandatory.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate in the $30 to $35 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
