Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering for qualification of customers, process control, and continuous improvement for the Facility.
  • Sustain and improve all aspects of existing ion implant processes.
  • Supervise process technicians and lead efforts including implementing process improvements, conducting experiments, and executing gauge capabilities with direction from senior Process Engineering Member.
  • Interface with sales for achievement of a common goal.
  • Monitor the compliance and reporting to the appropriate agencies.
  • Work directly with customers on new process development and any process-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain simulation models to support customer requests and business growth.
  • Focus on Process Development and Process-Related-Equipment-Enhancement Development.
  • Sustain/Support Implantation production as necessary.
  • Manage maintenance team to support tool uptime and PMs.

Education & Experience

  • At minimum, 10+ years of relevant work experience working in a technical factory with at least 7 years of management experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, material science, physics, chemical engineering, or equivalent experience in a wafer fabrication area is preferred.
  • Experience with ion implantation process engineering for a variety of process technologies (Discrete devices, Bipolar, CMOS, etc) and a variety of tool types.
  • Experience with high volume fabrication processes, process FMEA's, control plans, and statistical process control.
  • Proven experience with standard costing systems and identifying, justifying, and deploying new capital assets.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma methods.

Skills

  • Knowledge in the areas of integrated circuit integration or statistical process control is a plus.
  • Strong written communication (proposals, memos) and verbal communication skills (listening, making presentations).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Project (or similar software).
  • A mix of computer skills needed; skills in high voltage, low current electronics, logic circuits, pneumatic logic, and ion physics.

Working Conditions

  • Work in an office environment and non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Work in a Class 10/100/1000 clean room for extended periods.
  • Wear full clean room attire.
  • Work with and/or around chemicals such as acids and solvents.
  • Provide support during off hours.

ITAR/EAR

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).
  • Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.
