About the role
Lead medium to large-scale projects focused on: Cost reduction
New product development
Process improvement
Act as an “owner of the business” by identifying opportunities and driving critical manufacturing improvements
Provide hands-on technical support on the production floor to troubleshoot issues and improve performance
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve plant performance objectives
Conduct and support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to resolve process and material-related issues
Apply process improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Monitor and audit key process control systems and continuous improvement initiatives
Coach and train production operators on: Process control techniques
Equipment capabilities
Best practices
Support plant safety initiatives through participation in safety audits and risk assessments
Develop and revise raw material specifications to meet customer and operational requirements

Requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex process issues
Ability to lead projects from concept through execution and deliver measurable results
Effective communication skills to collaborate with operators, engineers, and leadership
Hands-on mindset with a willingness to spend time on the production floor
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to apply data-driven decision-making
Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
Ability to coach and influence others to adopt best practices and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Experience in process engineering or a technical role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Proven ability to lead and execute projects across all phases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab (preferred)
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies
- Ability to work off-shift hours as needed to support plant initiatives

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this role is $78,000 to $110,000 per year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors.
