Process Engineer, Electrical Testing

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced electrical testing processes, focusing on circuit testing and end-of-line testing, including isolation, insulation, Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), and hi-pot continuity.
• Design, automate, and optimize electrical testing systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and repeatability across manufacturing lines.
• Define best practices and standards for electrical testing, helping to establish what our organization should be doing to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate robust testing solutions into new product introduction (NPI) and high-mix/mid-volume environments.
• Develop and qualify next-generation tools and processes for functional testing, ensuring seamless transition from NPI to mass production.
• Implement real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and control systems to provide visibility into test results and process health.
• Identify opportunities for breakthrough improvements in automation, digitalization, and lean testing methodologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with custom testing and metrology equipment, ensuring safe and effective operation.

Experience/Education

• Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in process engineering, electrical testing, or manufacturing system development, preferably in NPI or high-mix/mid-volume environments.
• Expertise in circuit testing and end-of-line testing, including isolation, insulation, TDR, and hi-pot continuity.
• Prior experience developing scalable testing processes for NPI and mass production.
• Strong background in statistical methods, data visualization, systematic experiment design, and related software (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
• Ability to synthesize and interpret complex test data to support data-driven decisions.
• Independent problem solver with a desire to learn new skills and technologies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Adaptability to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator, passionate about tackling challenges as part of a high-performance team.
