About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Dry Etch Process Engineer to sustain, improve, and develop dry etch processes in a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products on time, improve process capabilities, and drive quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and improve dry etch processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Develop and implement new dry etch capabilities and process enhancements to improve key performance metrics
- Troubleshoot and solve yield issues, and ramp new process technologies from R&D to volume manufacturing
- Characterize and qualify new equipment, equipment upgrades, and process technologies
- Interface with global counterparts to benchmark and improve etch processes and procedures
- Support the Integration team and Quality organization to ensure technologies meet qualification and reliability requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of dry etch principles, theories, concepts, tools, and techniques
- 3+ years of dry etch process engineering experience (2+ years with advanced degree)
- Expertise in poly and/or metal etch with experience using LAM2300, AMAT DPS, and/or LAM9600 tools preferred
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize shifting business needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a global team environment
- Experience with design of experiment techniques, data analysis, and statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP)
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in relevant field preferred
- Six sigma certifications preferred
- Knowledge of PROMIS WIP management and JMP statistical analysis software preferred
- Experience with lean manufacturing, FMEAs, and 8D problem-solving processes preferred
