Process Engineer - Dry Etch
Job Description
Process Engineer is responsible for sustaining existing product lines such as Photo Diodes, GaAs IC, Si Transistors, GaN/SiC, etc. and developing new processes in these areas in the MACOM wafer fab. Specific responsibilities include:
- Sustains the dry etch area (RIE/ICP/CAIBE) to meet all factory indicators;
- Plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle;
- Drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering.
- Specific experience in plasma etch technology – RIE / ICP.
- Specific semiconductor skills include solid understanding of data mining and statistics, SPC and DOE, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
- Must have a proven track record of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
- Must display strong sense of ownership, enthusiasm, optimism, drive, and dedication to the improvement of the process area.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
