About the Role
Micron Technology is seeking experienced Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) / Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) professionals in Process Equipment Engineering. This is a senior technical leadership opportunity supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing and DRAM production. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, drive complex equipment initiatives, develop equipment solutions, and mentor engineering teams. The role is associated with Micron Memory Taiwan, and international candidates are welcome to apply. The provided listing is posted with Boise, Idaho as the location.
Responsibilities
- Lead critical technical taskforces and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive new semiconductor equipment evaluation, qualification, and adoption.
- Serve as a technical authority for equipment-related manufacturing issues.
- Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and promote continuous technical and career development.
- Identify equipment improvement opportunities aligned with advanced DRAM manufacturing requirements.
- Optimize equipment solutions while considering cost and manufacturing performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of equipment hardware and its role in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
- Provide technical engineering support to internal teams and senior leadership.
- Lead complex technical projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams across the organization.

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor equipment engineering within advanced-node manufacturing.
- Deep technical expertise in at least one semiconductor equipment area, including: Lithography, Dry etch, Wet etch, CMP, Thin film, Diffusion, Implantation, Metrology.
- Strong understanding of related semiconductor process engineering.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Demonstrated record of developing innovative technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience with semiconductor process equipment in advanced-node manufacturing.
- Experience driving equipment evaluation, qualification, adoption, and improvement programs.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Experience working within high-volume DRAM or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate equipment expertise into practical manufacturing solutions.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
