Process Engineer

Help drive the future of advanced manufacturing at Shaw Industries. We're seeking a hands-on engineer to support one of the most technologically advanced vinyl flooring production lines in the company. This high-visibility role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems on the manufacturing floor, working with advanced equipment, and making a measurable impact on safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives plant-wide.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and process-related issues using root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase reliability.
• Support automation, robotics, CNC programming, and equipment upgrade projects.
• Manage capital and expense projects from concept through implementation.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Corporate Engineering to evaluate new technologies and process enhancements.
• Analyze production and financial data to drive performance improvements and cost savings.
• Develop work instructions, training materials, and standardized processes.
• Present results and recommendations to plant and corporate leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, automation, or continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and data analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial automation, robotics, CNC programming, PLCs, or manufacturing controls.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
