Process Engineer

About the role

This role involves assisting with day-to-day engineering support for manufacturing operations, implementing yield, process, and product improvements, resolving customer technical/quality issues, participating in cross-functional teams, and managing after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Works with others to maintain safety, product quality/yield, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties.
• Aids in optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance cost-effectiveness and product performance via capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural changes.
• Assists in resolving customer technical/quality issues and collaborates on special products.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to resolve problems, develop, and start up new products.
• Must be capable of after-hours on-call responsibilities and obtain respirator certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of process engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Minitab and Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience solving technical problems related to mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials characterization.
• Familiarity with ISO/IATF Quality Systems.
• Experience with Process Safety Management and working in an electrically classified area.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 annually.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities.
