Process Engineer

About the role

Motus Integrated Technologies offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on problem solver to improve manufacturing processes and methods for safety, quality, and cost improvement at our Maplewood Facility.

Responsibilities

• Improves manufacturing processes and methods for safety, quality, and cost improvement.
• Increases efficiency by analyzing processes to identify and reduce variation.
• Tests proposed manufacturing methods and processes; confers with material vendors; solicits observations from operators; trains employees in proper methods.
• Assures product and process quality by testing finished product and process capabilities; establishes standards; confirms manufacturing processes.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Optimizes processes by statistically analyzing inputs and outputs; follows material vendor's instructions and established procedures; requests special services as needed.
• Coordinates the launch of new/revised products including: establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
• Prepares and maintains process documentation.
• Project manages engineering projects to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, and/or relevant and equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience with process manufacturing environment, methods, and procedures.
• Statistical analysis abilities.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
