About the Role

As a Process Engineer in New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be responsible for the design and development of new and/or improved manufacturing processes and ensuring efficient and effective design transfer of product into production. You will be part of a cross-functional team leading all aspects of process development to implement manufacturing processes both within Enovis and at its suppliers. You will also drive improvements to existing manufacturing processes within new product development projects, which may be shared across other production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary process and manufacturing expert on new product introduction cross-functional teams.
  • Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on new development projects.
  • Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation.
  • Execute functional deliverables associated with CAPA, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct all aspects of manufacturing technical reviews.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., BOMs, Routers, FMEAs).
  • Write and review validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes.
  • Oversee development builds associated with the project using technical work requests.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.
  • Convey process and manufacturing limits and capabilities to the development team.
  • Contribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissions.
  • Train manufacturing personnel as required as part of validation.
  • Participate in lean reviews and Kaizen events.
  • Coach technicians or other engineering support employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, BSME, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a process/manufacturing engineering role.
  • Full-time work authorization in the United States, both now and in the future, without requiring sponsorship.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Lean Manufacturing, and Process Control Concepts.
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), Process Validation, and product/process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, DMAIC).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
  • Experience with Measurement Systems (CMMs, Vision Inspection, and Profilometers).
  • Proficiency in CAD Software (e.g., SolidWorks, MasterCAM).
  • Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-1994).
  • Master’s degree in engineering and/or metals/plastics machining experience is a plus.
