Job Title: Process Engineer Job Description This onsite Process Engineer role combines strong technical and project management skills to support both long‑term initiatives and day‑to‑day shop‑floor needs. You will assist Production Engineering through operational tasks, process documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. While aligned with the core responsibilities of a Process Engineer, this position focuses on short‑term, project‑based support and offers an excellent opportunity for entry‑level engineers to learn and grow alongside experienced senior process engineers in a manufacturing and aerospace environment. Responsibilities Assist Production Engineers with a wide range of operational and project tasks in support of production and process engineering activities.Perform initial reviews of part distress modes that fall outside existing approved technical data, ensuring accurate assessment and documentation.Disposition parts when distress modes have established precedence, following approved technical guidance and standards.Create and draft detailed reports documenting distress modes, findings, and recommendations to support engineering decisions.Collect data using Standard Work templates to support requests for new technical data and process approvals.Make changes to work instructions under the supervision of a Production Engineer, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.Collaborate with cell personnel to identify process improvements and updates to work instructions that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.Use CAD tools to develop process drawings as required and design simple fixtures as needed to support production and repair activities.Handle communications with ASE, CTS, MTU and related teams for new technical data (EA) or technical information requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.Apply released technical data correctly in operations, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements, including FAA guidelines.Assist Operations and Quality in developing process plans and maintaining compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.Support daily production activities and small improvement efforts in collaboration with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.Shadow engineers to learn equipment, systems, and repair processes, building practical knowledge of manufacturing and repair operations.Provide basic technical support to inspectors and machine operators as issues arise, helping to resolve technical questions and production challenges.Complete export jurisdiction and classification training and apply this knowledge when working with technology subject to export control regulations. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.Foundational knowledge of manufacturing engineering and process engineering principles.Ability to work with manufacturing processes and understand production workflows.Proficiency with CAD tools for creating process drawings and simple fixture designs.Ability to document technical issues clearly and create detailed reports.Willingness to complete export jurisdiction and classification training.Eligibility to work on government contracts in accordance with applicable requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Thorough understanding of manufacturing process and repair process life cycles.Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency in MS Office applications for documentation, analysis, and communication.Experience using SAP and Solumina for production, quality, or process management.Strong technical and functional knowledge of turbine engines.Proficiency with CAD software for process design and fixture development.Demonstrated drive to deliver results and meet customer expectations for responsiveness.Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of engagement and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations.Experience determining export classification of technology in accordance with ITAR and EAR requirements.Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other applicable laws and regulations governing international trade. Work Environment This is a full‑time onsite role in a production facility, working Monday through Friday from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will work closely with senior Process Engineers, gaining hands‑on experience solving real‑time issues on the shop floor. The environment involves collaboration with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and engineering teams, and regular use of tools such as CAD software, MS Office, SAP, and Solumina. The facility operates as a manufacturing and aerospace production setting, where adherence to established processes, safety practices, and regulatory requirements is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Springdale, AR. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $32.00/hr.
