About the role
Air Liquide Large Industries provides industrial gas and energy solutions vital to customers' industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S., supplying oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and syngas from multiple production sources to major customers in chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are monitored 24/7 within a leading-edge operations control center in Houston, Texas. The operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination, optimizing the supply network for high reliability and energy efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Define process control loops on PFD/PID
- Participate in PFD/PID review and process methodology (HAZOP) studies
- Define plant process control strategy and safety interlock system
- Issue alarm lists, control strategies, functional diagrams, and participate in DCS software FAT
- Implement Air Liquide requirements on related projects, such as Trip abatement and Alarm management
- Assist in APC system development
- Provide technical support to commissioning group and CSG
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Automation, or a cryogenic-relevant field
- 7–10+ years of process design and control-related experience
- Strong knowledge of chemical process design, industrial processes, instrumentation, control, and process machines
- 60% travel required across the U.S. and Canada
