Responsibilities

  • Monitors direct or indirect processes in the production line, ensuring products are correctly packed, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
  • Troubleshoots any issues to ensure production maintains high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Escalates deviations from product specifications in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all products meet company quality standards.
  • Inspects items for defects, inconsistencies, packaging errors, etc.
  • Monitors quality indicators and works closely with quality assurance to maintain compliance and product specifications and standards.
  • Identifies and quickly resolves any issues in the process, including machinery breakdowns, material shortages, or process inefficiencies.
  • Ensures all processes comply with all quality specifications.
  • Monitors adherence to safety protocols and reports any potential issues.
  • Maintains records of daily activities, performance metrics, and any issues that arise.
  • Works closely across multiple teams to maintain process continuity and ensure seamless operations with timely product delivery.
  • Monitors various processes tracking, collecting data, and/or documenting as needed.
  • Provides reports to inform opportunities.
  • Works closely with quality assurance teams to monitor for and document process deviations for official reporting.
  • Helps provide input on process improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of production machinery and/or processes.
  • Good learning agility.
  • Organization, time-management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to ensure timeliness of all quality checks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve routine problems and equipment/process issues using established standards.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact across multiple teams.
  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in manufacturing or production environment, preferably in process control.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate equipment, computer, telephone, keyboard.
  • Occasionally climb and lift up to or about 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions.
  • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
  • The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
