Procedure Scheduler

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule GI procedures and follow-up appointments in accordance with provider availability and clinical guidelines.
  • Verify insurance requirements, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding prep instructions, procedure details, and appointment logistics.
  • Cookordinate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the scheduling system.
  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and scheduling requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Previous medical scheduling or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GI procedures or specialty scheduling is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Positive and highly motivated to work in teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
