Procedural Scheduler
Job Description
To schedule procedural appointments for Interventional Radiology in coordination with radiology, procedural nurses, cardiac/vascular scheduler, providers and ambulatory surgery.
Communicates effectively with referring provider offices to coordinate the soonest available appointment time/date.
Provides the referring providers office staff/patients with timely follow-up and with any information and/or instructions pertaining to the procedure.
Communicates and coordinates with hospital departments regarding scheduling of procedures on inpatients.
Education And Credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with Meditech strongly preferred.
- Must possess strong computer skills.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft excel, Word and Outlook preferred.
