Probationary Corrections Officer-Sheriff

Job Summary

This position performs intake and release functions, floor monitoring, serving at the control counter, preparing and filing reports, supervision of inmates and other related functions. Must follow universal precaution standards for blood borne diseases. This is an entry level position. Successful candidates have an opportunity to advance through a career development program within the Sheriff's Office.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and a US Citizen
• Must pass polygraph or CVSA, background check (criminal and credit) and drug screen
