Summary
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Correction Officers. You must be 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., and meet all criteria listed in the application packet and the entrance standards for the Basic Corrections Training Program located on the Maine Criminal Justice Academy's website. Applicant must be able to attend eight (8), paid, 40-hour weeks of orientation/training.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Able to be successfully trained and certified as a Corrections Officer by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy
Requirements
- Successfully pass a full personal, criminal, and motor vehicle background check
- Successfully complete physical assessment based on the Departmental Functional Job Description
- Successfully complete a Polygraph
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
