About the Role
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Oregon seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates for Pro Tem Instructor positions. Depending on departmental needs and candidate qualifications, Pro Tem Instructors may teach lower or upper division undergraduate Linguistics courses covering a range of topics. Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years, based on programmatic need, funding, and performance.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Master's degree in Linguistics or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to contribute to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Linguistics or a related field (preferred).
- Instructional experience with functional and cognitive linguistics, second language acquisition, and foreign language teaching methods (preferred).
