About the role

K2 Medical Research is pooling for a PRN Clinical Sub-Investigator (licensed as a PA/NP/ARNP in the state of FL) to potentially support our clinic in Orlando, FL. This PRN Sub-I serves as backup to our Principal Investigator, promoting Good Clinical Practice by ensuring protocol adherence, protecting study-subject rights and welfare, assuring data integrity, and directing the clinical investigation in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide investigator qualifications and agreements required for study participation
• Maintain current, up-to-date curriculum vitae
• Maintain current licensure and continuing education
• Assume responsibility for the conduct of the clinical investigation
• Maintain documentation of all aspects of the clinical investigation
• Ensure protocol compliance
• Ensure initial and ongoing review and oversight by a duly constituted IRB
• Provide adequate facilities to conduct the clinical trial
• Manage the medical care of study participants (subjects)
• Ensure validity of data reported to sponsor
• Ensure documentation of study-related procedures, processes, and events
• Ensure proper use, storage, and return or disposal of investigational agents
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Read, understand, and adhere to organizational Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in establishing and enforcing departmental standards
• Explore new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
• Help others achieve results
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Attend and participate in applicable company-sponsored training to learn and maintain technical and industry knowledge

Requirements

• Ability to support as needed in a PRN capacity
• Licensed Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in the state of FL; licensed to prescribe is a plus
• 2+ years of experience as a PA/NP/ARNP
• Clinical research experience, or experience in neuro or behavioral health preferred
• Experience seeing and providing medical treatment to patients on a daily basis is required

• Broad knowledge of general medicine and medical terminology

• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, efficient, and able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• BLS and/or ACLS certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
