Role And Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, and documentation across various settings.
- Conduct evaluations by reviewing history, performing assessments, and communicating findings to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
- Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, monitor patient progress, and modify plans as needed in consultation with healthcare team members.
- Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and precise documentation of patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards, ensuring flexible, empathetic patient access to care.
- Pursue ongoing professional development, serve as a clinical instructor, and assist in onboarding new staff, students, and volunteers.
Qualifications And Skills
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).
- Licensed in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required by location.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
