PRN RN - Emergency Department
About the Role
Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center is introducing a new generation of healthcare to Lakewood, focusing on top-quality care, outstanding service, strong educational programs, and community investment. Our Emergency Department offers 24-hour emergency care with board-certified emergency medicine physicians. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient journey, interacting directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire
- External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience
- Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience may be considered with Chief Nursing Officer review and approval post orientation/90-day probationary period
- Military RN experience will be considered
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Physical Requirements
- Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
- Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
- Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay
Hourly Range: $43.00 (minimum and maximum)
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education. The displayed range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.
Schedule
Varying shifts between 7:00am and 7:00am.
