About the Role

Aeroflow Sleep’s Clinical Sleep team is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse to assist with telemedicine and in-home CPAP and BiPAP setups for patients and their families. This position begins as one 8-hour shift per week, utilizing telehealth and in-home services, with the potential to transition into a full-time role of three 12-hour shifts based on territory needs. The role includes hourly pay and mileage reimbursement. There are no on-call, weekend, holiday, or night requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients on the use of home medical respiratory equipment, troubleshooting, and care, either in person or via telehealth.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the field as directed by physician orders.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and work with family members to ensure comfort and respect.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality, including providing a private space for telehealth appointments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the respiratory care field and act as a resource for peers and non-clinical staff.
  • Handle multiple tasks efficiently in remote, office, or in-home environments.
  • Maintain all required licensure and certifications, meeting core competencies annually.

Requirements

  • Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 1+ years of home health experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to navigate multiple browser windows and screens.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to work remotely via telehealth, in-office, or in-home environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Maneuver around objects, climb stairs, and work in small spaces.
  • Bend, stoop, twist, and lift/transfer up to 75 pounds of equipment.
  • Operate telephones and other equipment.
  • Meet company productivity standards.
  • Effectively communicate with staff, patients, and community members.
  • Handle sensitive issues, conflict resolution, and time demands in a challenging work environment.
