Job Description

As a Clinic Manager, you will manage the daily operations of our outpatient centers. Key responsibilities include hiring, developing, and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, and tracking and delivering superior patient outcomes. You will also monitor and adhere to regulatory and safety requirements.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Serves the organization's mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the organization's Compliance Program, including regulatory and organizational policy requirements.

Quality

  • Supports and drives organization quality standards through meeting regulatory and accrediting body requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
  • Ensures compliance with data collection and auditing activities.
  • Maintains facility environmental integrity and safety.

Patient

  • Performs nursing assessments and obtains necessary medical history.
  • Provides education and addresses patient concerns.
  • Monitors patient condition and completes documentation accurately.
  • Administers medications and IV moderate sedation.
  • Assists with patient workflow and performs point-of-care laboratory testing.
  • Performs IV insertion as per physician orders.

Physicians

  • Communicates regularly with physicians on an as-needed basis.
  • Attends and participates in CQI meetings.
  • Assists facility management in verifying necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Completes and reports state-required adverse event reports.

Maintenance/Technical

  • Operates and inspects facility equipment and technology.
  • Inspects and reports malfunctions and maintenance needs.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
  • Ensures immediate addressing of blood spills.

Administrative

  • Affords efficient utilization of medication, laboratory, inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintains medication supply, including inventory control, checking for expired medications, and ensuring appropriate recording of controlled substances.
  • Completes usage logs for all medications and records of drug disposal.
  • Assists with maintaining facility supply inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Examines emergency equipment and supplies, including stocking the crash cart.
  • Completes medical records in an accurate manner and performs chart audits.
  • Participates in facility regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans.
  • Completes state-required records for all implanted devices.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Regular desk and personal computer work.
  • Interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians.
  • Frequent prolonged periods of standing.
  • Occasional moving of patients and equipment of up to 200 lbs.
  • Exposure to infectious, contagious diseases/materials and radiation.

Education

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's Degree desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.).

Experience and Required Skills

  • 4 - 6 years' related experience preferred.
  • Office-Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in IV insertion.
  • Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition.
  • Experience with Medical database software.
  • Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications.
