PRN Radiation Oncologist

About the role
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is expanding our pool of radiation oncologists in outpatient clinics throughout Florida on an as-needed basis. Our radiation oncology team currently operates 12 sites across Florida, including Orlando, Sanford, Ocala, Brownwood, The Villages, Brooksville, Hudson, Trinity, Tampa, Highland, Wesley Chapel, and Pensacola.
The network is fully standardized on Varian technology, including:
- Varian linear accelerators (primarily TrueBeam and VitalBeam)
- ARIA and Eclipse treatment planning systems
The comprehensive radiation oncology staffing model includes physicists, dosimetrists, registered nurses/medical assistants, clinic clerical support, two radiation therapists (RTTs) per linear accelerator at all times, lead therapists, and on-site management support. The program also features brachytherapy and radioligand therapy and is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
Requirements
- Full unrestricted Florida MD/DO license
- Board-certified in Radiation Oncology preferred
- Extensive knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and techniques

Screenings
All offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening, including drug and nicotine testing. FCS requires all new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption. Medical marijuana cards are not recognized.
