PRN Physician - Addiction Medicine

Join Meridian and help transform lives through recovery. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician - Addiction Medicine (PRN) to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals affected by substance use disorders in Gainesville, Florida.

About the role

This advanced clinical role combines direct patient care with provider oversight, helping ensure excellence across our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely patient evaluations and assessments
• Provide medication management in accordance with current clinical standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support recovery and wellness
• Provide consultation, training, and clinical guidance to staff and providers
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in chart reviews, case consultations, and clinical staffing
• Support program goals while maintaining quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• M.D. degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an approved Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency
• Minimum of three (3) years of medical experience or equivalent
• Active license to practice medicine in the State of Florida
• Knowledge of community mental health and substance use treatment programs, services, and best practices
• Experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating medical and substance use disorders, including co-occurring psychiatric conditions
• Ability to type a minimum of 27 WPM and achieve at least 65% on the general assessment

Pay

$214,200 Annually | Exempt
