Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to residents in a variety of settings including assisted living and memory care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in life-enrichment activities to enhance resident wellness and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes.
- Attend continuing education courses to stay current with evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
- Experience in geriatric care and/or rehabilitation therapy preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with residents and staff.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Completion of a state-approved residency program.
- Current CPR certification.
Skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
