About the role

As an Enhance Rehabilitation physical therapy assistant, you will work under the guidance of a physical therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's needs, assisting patients through all phases of treatment, communicating with patients about their treatment, and documenting their progress.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in treating patients following an individualized plan of care developed by physical therapists.
  • Ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
  • Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
  • Aid patients throughout the physical therapy process using appropriate techniques.
  • Discuss treatment options with patients and document their conditions and responses to treatments in patient charts after each session.
  • Communicate continuously with physical therapists, directors, rehab coordinators, and facility staff regarding patient progress and any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan.
  • Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state where you will be practicing.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
