PRN Pharmacist

The Outpatient Pharmacist will work in a Cardinal‑managed hospital‑based retail pharmacy at Regional West Medical Center, performing immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and potential management of high‑risk patients. The position is PRN with pharmacy hours Monday‑Friday 9:00 AM‑5:00 PM (closed 12:30 PM‑1:30 PM for lunch).

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of manager, dispense and ensure safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
• Maintain open communication and be available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
• Participate in supervision of technical staff.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
• Provide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facility.
• Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• 2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
• Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• 340B experience preferred.
• May require vendor credentialing.

Pay

Anticipated hourly range: $50.10 per hour – $71.70 per hour. Bonus eligible: No. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Schedule

Pharmacy Hours: Monday‑Friday 9:00 AM‑5:00 PM (closed 12:30 PM‑1:30 PM for lunch). Position is PRN; ability to work a flexible schedule is required.
