PRN Pain Management & Rehabilitation Physician – MUSC Health Catawba Division (Lancaster/Chester, SC)

MUSC Health Catawba Division is seeking a board certified or board eligible Physiatrist to join a collaborative team in one of the fastest growing regions in South Carolina. The team includes one other full-time physiatrist, rehab nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and case management. Routine Hospitalist consultation and specialty consultative services are available as needed.

• MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center (LMC): 211-bed hospital with 24-bed ED offering comprehensive inpatient and specialty services in Lancaster, SC. The hospital is a Joint Commission-designated Primary Stroke Center, and its Emergency Department is recognized by SC-DPH as a “Pediatric Ready” hospital.
• MUSC Health Chester Medical Center (CMC): 82-bed acute care hospital with 13-bed ED delivering emergency services and comprehensive clinical care to patients in Chester County. CMC’s Emergency Department is recognized by SC-DPH as a “Pediatric Ready” hospital.
• MUSC Health Indian Land Medical Center: 52-bed hospital with an anticipated 24-bed ED currently under construction in Indian Land, SC, set to open late 2027.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient physiatry care, including neurological, musculoskeletal, amputation, and general medical conditions.
• Team coordination and effective communication.
• Adherence to CMS inpatient rehabilitation policies.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physiatry.
• Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure.
